What is hypnosis and what can it do for me?

Hypnosis is a state of consciousness, a relaxed state in which your concentration is focused. You are aware of everything, but because your attention is heightened and focused, you are more receptive to the ideas and suggestions that will affect the quality of your life in a positive, constructive way.

Hypnotherapy is the process we use, utilizing a series of positive “suggestions” or new “programming” to create that change. We are bombarded with suggestions all day long, every day of our lives, by the way of TV, radio, advertisements, written and spoken word. Even the people around us are continually giving us “suggestions,” often negative.

Hypnotherapy is a proven, professional approach to help you take control over your own life … to help create positive changes that are very important to the quality of your health and life … and to do it easier than you ever dreamed possible.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, it is perfectly safe. Hypnosis has been accepted and approved by Medical, Dental and Psychological Associations, as well as they American Medical Association for many years. It is utilized today as a valuable modality for self-improvement. Hypnosis, as we apply it, is probably the safest method you have ever tried. We use gentle, positive affirmations, visualization and other behavioral modification techniques to achieve your goals.

Hypnosis can change the way you think, feel and react to life.

Will I lose "control" in the hypnotic state?

No! This is one of the misconceptions given to us by stage hypnosis and show-biz. You cannot be hypnotized to say or do anything you do not want to do.

Who is Karen Haley?

Karen Haley, Hypnotherapist and lecturer in the area of applied Hypnosis is the director of Life Awareness Programs. After studying hypnosis for many years, and using it as a tool to improve her own life, Karen uses this modality as a way in which she might help the many people today who, in this generation of change, are seeking more out of life… people who desire to raise the quality of their life.
